Guild Introduction

Think you have what it takes to make it in Doom?

Doom is a goal-oriented, high-end raiding guild on the Dalaran server, formed April 14th, 2005. We recruit only in on-demand situations; meaning, if recruited, you will be expected to immediately fill a spot in our raid roster for your initiation period. We generally raid Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:30PM to 11:30PM EST. Please feel free to contact Sevyne, Shunjal, Skellum, Viserion, Malazee, or Bostaurus with questions regarding our guild or the recruitment process. Remember, only during non-raid hours will we talk about policies and recruitment status.

If you are looking for frustration, repair bills, bickering, and the thrills of raiding, then you've come to the right place. Show us what you've got, and you'll be lucky to be that low man on the totem pole. If you can't take being yelled at, having your gameplay criticized, or being kicked out of groups for not grasping the simple concepts of this game, then don't apply. We are not the place for you. We need thick-skinned players who can take criticism, and can handle being called out for not playing to their fullest ability.

Don't half-ass this; put some time and effort into your application. This is most likely your first impression on our guild members, and starting off on the right foot is something you should aim for.

The normal recruitment process is not an instantaneous decision; expect it to take a week at minimum, if not several. Do not try to contact officers immediately after posting an application, expecting an answer. This is not a friends and family guild. We do not allow alternate characters to participate in raids, nor do we accept people based on familiarity.

UI/Mods Make a brief list of raiding mods you use on a daily basis. If possible, post a screenshot of your current raiding user interface by uploading a screenshot to Photobucket/Imageshack for hosting. BBcode tags are accepted. (Required)
Keybindings List the spells/abilities that you have bound to the keys 1 through 5. Feel free to list any other interesting, unique or otherwise significant keybindings. (Required)
Character Bio Briefly describe your character for us: how long you've been playing, what you enjoy most about your class, etc. If you are a faction transfer, please include the race you plan to change to and why. (Required)
Character Progression What do you see yourself working on in the near future, or beyond, to better your character and quality of play? (Required)
Raid Experience Describe your raiding history: what have you seen, attempted and/or completed in LK, BC, and 1.0. (Required)
Transfer? If so, please list your current server and character name so that we may get in touch with you. If you have a weird character in your name, please include the ALT code for it.
Parses Link to WWS/WMO/WoL/DejaWoW. These are mandatory! No link, no application. Don't even bother finishing this if you can't supply any of these. (Required)
Raiding Gear Describe your gear or link a WoW Armory or Char Dev page here of the gear you wear on a normal basis. If applicable, describe the gear that applies to both of your talent specs. Also include any exceptional (epic) resistance gear you have available. (Required)
Alts or Experience With Other Classes Please be sure to list the names and realms of level 80 alts or any alts that you often play. This will also help us to better be able to contact you.
Independence Are you able to sustain yourself through progression raiding? i.e. Flasks, Food, Repairs, etc. By what means do you compile these resources? (Required)
Achievements List your overall points, achievements that you are actively pursuing, and any completed achievements that you feel are notable.) (Required)
History List your previous guild(s), how long you were with them, and explain why you left it/them. (Required)
Expectations What are your reasons for choosing Doom? What do you expect from us? (Required)
Qualities Why should Doom consider you? How do you stand out amongst other similar applicants? (Required)
Referral How did you first hear about our guild? (Required)
Personal Information Please tell us a bit about yourself: your age, your background, any other MMOs you've played, your computer and connection specs, etc. Also include alternative ways to get in contact with you (such as your email, screen name or Steam ID). (Required)
